Section 8 · Ethical agreement

Terms of use.

Using this site means agreeing to a few things. Most of them are about being honest with each other, and about not using the wild plants we document in ways that could hurt you or others.

▲ Most important thing on this page
Nothing on Fungai Art is medical advice. The information here is educational and traditional. Foraging carries real risks — misidentification of wild plants and fungi can be fatal. You are responsible for what you do with this knowledge.

The agreement

When you use fungai.art (this website), the Foraging Map, the Herbal Engine, the Extraction Protocols, or any other Fungai Art service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the services.

We are Robin Fungi and Steph Teÿæ, operating Fungai Art as an independent artistic and herbal practice based in Sweden, Germany, and France. Contact: robin@fungai.art.

Educational purpose

Fungai Art is an ecological art project and educational resource. The Herbal Engine, Extraction Protocols, Foraging Map, Health Intelligence, and related materials document traditional plant medicine, modern phytotherapy research, and ecological knowledge.

Everything here is for your education and personal exploration. It is not:

If you have a health concern, please consult a doctor. If you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or have a chronic condition, consult a qualified practitioner before using any herb.

Foraging safety

The Foraging Map shows habitats, traditional harvest locations, and community observations. The map is approximate. Real-world plant identification requires expert knowledge.

By using the Foraging Map and related guides, you accept full responsibility for your own safety and the consequences of your foraging activity.

Restricted plants

Some plants we document have specific legal status that varies by country. Examples include Amanita muscaria, Psilocybe species, Coca leaf, Calamus, Calea zacatechichi, Wild Dagga, Ephedra. We document them for educational purposes only.

You are responsible for knowing and complying with the laws in your country regarding possession, preparation, and use of any plant. Fungai Art does not sell or supply restricted substances and accepts no responsibility for your decisions in relation to them.

$MYCEL token and Mycorrhizal Governance

The $MYCEL token (known to members as Hyphae) is a community circulation token deployed on Polygon mainnet. It is not a security, not an investment, and confers no ownership in Fungai Art or rights to future revenue.

$MYCEL is a circulation currency: members earn Hyphae by contributing to the network (foraging sessions, alchemy days, teaching, event support) and spend them on goods and experiences (tinctures, ceremonies, academy access, retreats). Drawn Hyphae flow to The Mycelium treasury where they are recycled or composted.

Governance is handled by a separate, soulbound (non-transferable) reputation called mycoTrust. Voice in Mycorrhizal Governance grows from ongoing participation and peer endorsement, not from token holdings. Decisions follow a sociocratic process: composting (discussion) → sporulation (consent vote) → fruiting (implementation).

$MYCEL is not listed on any DEX or CEX. Tokens may be transferred between members (gifted), but speculative trading is contrary to the spirit of the token and may result in compost (burn) of listed tokens by the council.

See /members for the full vocabulary and how Mycorrhizal Governance works. Detailed terms specific to $MYCEL operations are published in the founding charter (forthcoming) and supersede this section.
